Question What are you reading for the last half of January

I'm finishing a series by Jack Cavanaugh.

I've also got 3 other books from the library:

    Jordan's Star by Gilbert Morris
    Friday's Child by Linda Chaikin
Passing by Samaria by Sharon Ewell Foster

And I'm working on Storey's Basic Country Skills by John and Martha Storey (a great homesteading book)

The Encyclopedia of Country Living by Carla Emery (re-read)

So much to read, so little time.

I just finished The Box Children. Sad but very good.
Now I'm reading A Brief History of the Flood.

I am reading "Empire Falls" by Richard Russo. It won the Pulitzer several years ago and is an excellant read. I am still working on Diana Galbadon's "Fiery Cross". If any of you have read her Outlander series you might understand my trouble. I reread the first 4 books last summer/fall in anticipation of the "Fiery Cross" being released in paperback but I think @5,000pgs of Jamie and Claire burnt me out. I still pick it up but have had trouble getting through it.

Oh, I also just finished a money management book - -something about "how to get everything you want with the money you already have". I didn't agree with the advice given at all.

Pamy - Empire Falls is a fantastic book! I read it last summer and it was so good. I still remember the characters and all their traits. It was kind of like you really lived in that town and knew all those people.

I am just starting "The Lovely Bones". I've only read the first chapter so far, but I've heard lots about it, so I'm looking forward to it.
