    Default Question about book club.

I want to know what you all thought about having 2 diffrent books. was it okay, did you like it did you not like it. Majority rules so if everyone wants 2 then we will keep having two. if not we will go to one.

also, I thought that I would list 6 books or so and we can choose what everyone wants to read. ONE or Two what ever you guys want. does this sound fair.

IS there anything else you all want to add? do you have any suggestions.

Thanks everyone for making this an excellent book club. HEV.

Oh Heaven! I might get to participate this time if I can get the book!! Pick a good one for me.

I like true stories... not like Tightwad Gazette kind of nonfiction... maybe a biography. Yeah... a biography. The story of someone's life.

Isn't it hard for you to read 2 books at the same time and keep them straight? I couldn't do that.

you don't have to read both. it is just so that if you can't get one you might be able to get the other. like alot of people had trouble getting JULIA'S HOPE that is why we had the second one. I don't want anyone to read more than they want or have to. and to answer your question no it isn't hard for me. Right now i am reading 4 or 5 books. I do it all the time. i like the varity. I am weird though. LOL

Heaven, I loved the idea of having 2 books. It gives everyone a chance to find one or the other, or for that matter read both.

One thing I would like to see if that when the books are chosen, that we have a bit longer to find the book. Also that it be bumped up at least a couple times a week, so as a reminder that we have a wonderful book club that all the members can participate in.

Sherry, we will. We just need to keep bringing good books and asking great questions (like heaven is) and continue answering those questions and it'll come. Everything takes a bit of time.

I agree with CJ... I will be getting my book through the library's Mail-A-Book program here so it may take awhile, especially if I have to have them get it from another library first.
But I can catch up with you all if you get started ahead of me. Thats ok.

I do like the Two books thing. Although my library sisn't have either! That does make it easier for everyone to get one. I do like the idea of voting on the books, too.

I think the 2 book choice is a good one. Everyone's taste is a bit different and some books are just not available at everyone's library. With 2 books you have a better chance of finding something you like.
