Dixie Chicks comment made in London
I just heard this morning the anti-president comment that was made by the lead singer of the Dixie chicks while over in London. Here is the link:

What do you think about this? Several radio stations have pulled their music.

I wish they would stick to music.
Drives me nuts when"entertainers" have to give me their (often uneducated) opinions. jmo

She's entitled to her opinions, however she, like everyone else has to suffer the consequences when she expresses an unpopular opinion publicly...... I would say good for her if it had been valid, but ashamed he's from Texas ???????? Stupid, stupid girl.... She should spent more time practicing her music and less time practicing politics.........

Well as a Texan (although not a native) I am proud that he is standing up to Iraq.
I dont want to go to war, but if the UN doesnt take a stand it will not exist much longer and President Bush knows that.
As for the comments, I agree she has the right to make it but she has to live with the back lash of it.
Better her than me!

I think her remark was totally uncalled for and rather stupid. There's nothing like shooting yourself in the foot and then inserting your foot in your mouth with further stupid comments trying to justify the first comment made. Someone should tell that girl she is just digging herself a deep hole!
You know, we were going to get their latest CD, but not now. I will not support anyone who will not support our president and our military troops. I saw shame one her and I'd like to publicly state that I'm ashamed she is from the great United States of America!

Oh boy, this will really open a can of worms. I really like the Dixie Chicks, but this is one instance where politics and celebrities shouldn't mix. Sometimes ya just gotta keep your trap shut.

I agree she is entitled to her opinion and she did say
I guess she has forgotten that it is men and women alike who have fought for this country so SHE is FREE to voice her own point of view."I feel the president is ignoring the opinion of many in the U.S. and alienating the rest of the world. My comments were made in frustration, and one of the privileges of being an American is you are free to voice your own point of view."~~ Dee ~~

I think she made an incredibly stupid business decision! If she offends the very people who buy her cd's, how's she gonna make money?
I agree with Darlene, I hate it when entertainers try to shove their political opinions down our throats!

I am a Texan-born and raised and I would like to state that I am very proud that George Bush is from Texas. He has a very difficult job and I think he is doing it very well. I would like to see the war in Iraq avoided but I think he will do whatever is right for our country.
The fact that she went to England, who are our strongest allies in this crisis and made such an asinine and immature comment just hits home that she is as clueless as brick. I for one will never purchase another "Dixie Chick" CD again.
I am proud to have George Bush from Texas but very very ashamed to have ole Natalie from here.

There's a thread called Citizens against Celebrity Pundits on iPetitions.com, if you're interested in which celebrities are speaking out against our President and the war.
