Question What is your all time favorite book?/Author?

Mine has got to be "The Stone Angel' by Margaret Lawrence (a Canadian authour).

But, close behind are: Pride and Prejudice, by Jane Austin
    Anything by Agatha Christie
    Anything by Mauve Binchy

Actually anything goes with me for that matter. I love to read and have even been known to read the kids textbooks when I have nothing else in the house to read. Is that too wierd or what?

I think on of my very favorite books should be required reading for everyone who whines that they have "nothing": The Grapes of Wrath.

Probably Morning Glory by LaVyrle Spencer. I read it over and over and over again. It just seems so true to life, the way the characters feel and relate to each other.

I'm an avid reader -- up to 4 books a week! But my alltime favorite book is Ken Follet's "The Pillars of the Earth". Magnificent writing, excellent story, many pages! I also enjoy the Jan Karon "Mitford" series -- very uplifting and light reading.

HMMMMMM this is where I reveal the dark and twisted nature of my soul I reckin..

STephen King (everything just got done with Black House )
Anne Rice (everything...currently reading Blood and Gold)

those are my very favorites...then anything else...I sort of read EVERYthing...you should see my house there are books stacked everywhere I lean toward Fantasy/Sci-Fi and horror but will even read a Harlequin in a pinch
and my love of reading has surfaced in every one of my boys....so they each have their own collection of books....ALMOST as enviable as mine!
