E~price of fame
i don't know what my thing is with the "E" channel lately. did you watch "the price of fame" today?? i think that is the name of the show. todays theme was "starved." talking about the price all these actresses pay to be thin and beautiful. man, some of them are a size 0 or 2.

It's amazing. I read a few bios of actresses of years gone by when a more womanly shape was in style and those women really suffered a lot as well. I can't imagine how they must feel in today's world.

I remember reading that Marilyn Monroe was like a size 16 or something like that....I remember my dad saying once that all of the pin-up girls from when he was in the Korean War were about that size too: Jane Russell, Debbie Reynolds, Deborah Kerr (guess which parent named me!!)....what happened to that mentality?? When a woman should look like a woman and not like a straw...we're studying Botticelli, the Renaissance, and Baroque art in school right now - you know the art, back when women were "rubinesque" - nobody had 6-pack abs or buns of steel then....I was born in the wrong century.....

Oh Debbie, You and I were both born in the wrong century! I definitely have that rubinesque body type and am so thankful that my hubby likes my "curves"

You & I can just live in our own little world - we can be "Venus 1 & 2" - but you can live in the clam shell - I'm too claustrophobic!!
