Grew up listening to him. Big empty space in the country music industry with him gone. It always surprised me how his music crossed over so many music styles, not just country.

A legand I'm sure many of us are going to miss. I grew up with Cash as well, my mom has always been into country music. I remember his songs from way back.
He didn't last long, did he, after his wife died.

My dad must be thrilled....he's been waiting since April '00 for Johnny Cash to get to heaven! The first song I ever remember was "One Piece At A Time" - my daddy used to sing that to me all the time!!
I didn't figure he'd be long after June passed....Now the circle is unbroken...

Awww Debbie - I nearly cried!! My Dad too has been waiting since Oct. 2000
He was his all time hero and we played 'Goodbye little darlin' at his funeral.

My surrogate grandfather (related by love, not blood) looked amazingly like Johnny Cash. He also loved Johnny's music. I am not a country music fan, but I love his music. It seems like a little piece of my childhood died when Johnny left the earth. However, now my dear "Uncle" Jimmy can finally meet the Man in Black. Godspeed, Johnny.
