Default What do you do with your paperbacks...

after you've read them? Do you save them, sell them, give them away, donate them? Where do you keep them ?

We save them here. We have them on a shelf here in the computer room.

I usually don't buy paperbacks. the ones I do buy I get from the Thrift Store. I usually give them away or sell them back at the Thrift Store.

I get a bag full from our neighbor every year. I usually purge some from the shelves to make room for incoming.
I usually give those to my sis if I think she'll like them or donate them to the library for their sales to raise money to buy more books.

I usually borrow from the library vs. buy books because I just don't want the hassle of finding a place to store them, figuring out who to give them to (I used to donate some to our library, but they are undergoing renovation soon and aren't currently accepting donations).

The only books we buy and keep are kids' books and reference books (gardening, computer, etc)

I used to keep all of my paperbacks - I loved to own books. Then reality set in and I realized I didn't have enough space for all the books I bought or read. Now, if I read a book I particularly love, I'll pass it on to my mom or one of my sisters. Otherwise, all books go back to the used bookstore where I buy everything. I think they give me 53% of the purchase price back in store credit. I'm almost embarassed to say that I think I have about $50 in credit right now - I love books!
