Exclamation BOOK REVIEW - Crafting with Flea Market Fabrics

This book is put out by Reader's Digest and the author is Deborah Harding.    You all know how I love fabrics, well this book is for me and anyone who loves fabric.

All patterns are made with flea market finds (or yard sales) and the chapters are:  Embroidered Linens, Chenille (remember those bedspreads), quilts, lace trims (my favorite), Handkerchiefs, doilies and kitchen linens.

The patterns are easy to follow and very frugal if you've been watching for the items at yard sales or flea markets.

My favorite is the lace chapter.    The doilie chapter is really neat as well.   They have some wonderful Victorian Christmas balls made from styrofoam balls, blue material and small doilies.    They are just adorable.

This book was published in 1998, so you may not be able to get it any longer, but I'm sure you can find it at a library.    Well worth the effort to hunt it down.

Lori, you'll love it.     Its probably one of the best books I've seen on doing fun and frugal things with flea market/yard sale finds.       There are a number of things I'm going to make from that book.     Good luck in finding it at the library.
