Anyone watch "Joe Millionaire: An International Affair"? "Joe" is actually David Smith, a cowboy who earns $11,000/year. He goes to Tuscany (Italy) in hopes of finding his "true love". Only trouble is that the girls are told he has $80 million. I wonder if he and the girl he picked are still together --

I didn't see the final episode....how did she react when she found out he wasn't a millionaire?

The girl he picked was Linda from the Czech Republic. When David told her he didn't have the $80 million, she let out an audible gasp. And she did not show up when he was waiting to give her the promise ring. When he went back home to Texas, there was Linda -- she gets a check for $250,000.00 and David gets the deed to 90 acres and the house where part of the finale was filmed (David arrived home at the Austin Airport, and it looked like he and Linda were in the Texas Hill Country). As with the previous "Joe Millionaire" and ABC's "The Bachelor"/"The Bachelorette" shows, the ending AND EDITING! make me wonder if the participants remain together.

Thanks for letting me know the update. I'm surprised I haven't seen anything about the "update" with these two. Maybe I'll check out Entertainment tonight to see if they say anything.

The finale was soooooo good. Dd who was laughing at me and her dad for watching it was even crying at the end. It was really, really good. Too bad you missed it Daphne. I sure hope they end up married.
