Lord of the Rings

Has anyone seen this yet? Dh and I are dying to go, but don't have the time right now.

Not yet. Dh has worked since Tuesday and his first day off is tomorrow. However we are going to see my dad since I can't see him on Christmas Eve or Day. As much he and I were wanting to go see it, seeing my dad means more to me (Up until Friday I didn't think I would be able to see him until after the new year.)

We will probably go Monday night as long as all our shopping is done. I can't wait either. I have been warned to go to the bathroom before you get there so you don't miss anything.

If you go soon let us know what you think. I've heard nothing but good things from the ones I know that I have seen it.

Will took Katie on opening day (her BDay) & they loved it! They both said this one is the best one yet....lots of battle scenes & awesome graphics - 'specially the Orc graphics....

When they were little guys, I used to read the books to them as their bedtime story - took us about a year & a ½ but we made it through all 4 of them!

Katie says this one is the closest to the book out of any of them!! She seconds the "utilize the facilities" advice - she had to go about an hour into it & held it for the next 2½ hours!

They gave it two thumbs way, way up!

We did go Monday it was great. Of course there was some jerk talking on his cell phone. (I almost asked him if he was a Dr. and it was a medical emergency or was he just rude.)

Right before it started and I went to get us a drink, I asked them if I could throw my ice cubes at him during the movie if he didn't hang up. Thankfully he hung up and we got to enjoy the movie. It was great. I can't wait for it to be released on video next summer Iwill have to buy it then to hold me over unti the extended version come out later on next year. I have the extended version of Fellowship of the Ring and the regular version of 2 towers but I plan on using the Christmas money to buy the 4 disk extend verson of that one this weekend.

Saw it and really enjoyed it. Only problem was that I was preoccupied because Julia was so upset when we left, I was upset that the last thing she did before falling asleep was cry because I was leaving.
