Definitely not me - BUT I laughed until I cried
On Christmas Eve, dh brought home some videos one of the neighbours had given him to use. One of the videos was Ma and Pa Kettle.
Now I'm not much into movies and it takes a lot for me to laugh at a movie. Cry is another story - if its a sad movie I cry but to get me to laugh is almost impossible.
Well about 5 minutes into this movie and we were all laughing so hard that I soon was laughing so hard I was crying. It was the funniest movie I have ever seen. Made in 1949 and black/white - but it sure set the mood for our Christmas.
If you can get ahold of any of the Ma and Pa Kettle movies, I'd recommend them to anyone. There are 6, so dh is going to see if the neighbour has the rest.

When DH and I were first married we used to sit around and watch Ma and Pa Kettle movies. They are so funny. I too would recommend them.
When you mentioned those movies you just brought back memories....good memories.~*Michelle*~

I LOVE Ma n Pa! They also made some guest appearances in other movies, one funny one that comes to mind is "the egg and I" about a city guy that moves with his socialite bride to the country to raise chickens. It is more a love story but Ma n Pa give it some chuckles!

"The Egg and I" is one of my very favorite movies and the book was fantastic too. It is so funny and I love Ma and Pa Kettle, they are just hysterical and the actors that played them really brought them to life. I am glad that you got to enjoy their movies CJ.

We watched The Egg & I as well. Funny, but not quite as funny as ma and pa Kettle. The guy who plays pa Kettle was exceptional in his acting!!

I'll have to look for these at the library and see if they have any of them.
