Default What was your favorite TV show when you were a child?

Mine was Little House on the Prairie! I was in love with Michael Landon and couldn't stand that Nellie Olson (LOL!) My favorite episode was when Almonzo finally figured out that Laura was all grown up and started to like her. I wanted to be Laura!

My answer is going to show my age!

As a small child I loved to watch Bonanza! I loved Little Joe!

As a pre-teen I loved to watch the Friday night line up of: The Brady Bunch and Partridge Family! We loved to copy the girls clothing and watch Keith Partridge sing!

I remember when I was a little girl and the neighbors got one of the first color televisions on the block and we all went over to watch Wonderful World of Disney which was in color.

I loved Lost in Space. I used to put on my boots and pretend I was on the space ship with them. My favorite cartoons were the Jetsons and the Flintstones.

I liked Jetson's. Even in the 70's and early 80's, except for Saturday morning cartoons, I was about a decade or two behind on most of the tv shows we were allowed to watch. We were allowed to watch MOST Saturday morning cartoons, the after school specials sometimes also. BUT...even the Sitcom's of that day and age were generally not allowed by my grandparents. We WERE allowed to watch the re-runs of some of the older ones...Lucy and Andy Griffith. Beverly spam! It is better fried than typedspam! It is better fried than typedspam! HA HAAAAAAAA. I'm SERIOUS.)

Oh I had lots---I liked Happy Days, The Love Boat, Little House on the Prarie, Silver Spoons, Family Ties, Square Pegs-- gosh I'm sure there are tons more that I can't even think of now. And I used to LOVE afterschool specials.

    Oh my gosh, chelle3889......

    I forgot about all those!!

Love Boat and Fantasy Island bring back such wonderful memories of my grandma!
I used to stay with her alot on weekends and we had such fun watching Love Boat and Fantasy Island! We would make jigsaw puzzles together while watching them! She was a great cook, and we would spend hours cooking, eating, making puzzles....

Oh my, now I'm crying thinking of her. I miss her sooo much. She passed away in 1995 at the age of 94 1/2.
The last time I saw her, she hadn't spoken in a long time (she was in a nursing home at the end) and the last thing she spoke was when I took my new born baby for her to meet him, and she said"I love you Joshua"! I'll never forget that! She passed away a few weeks later.

Thanks for bringing up the memories!

The Waltons, and it is STILL one of my favorite shows. My kids make fun of me for watching it now. But my sisters and I also loved those shows that are so corny to watch now: Land of the Giants, Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea, and Lost in Space. And the Partridge Family, Brady Bunch.

I just watched Love Boat on TV Land last night! It's the first time I've watched it in about 20 years, ha ha.

Does anyone remember when Speed Racer was the only cartoon you could watch on Sundays? And we HATED Speed Racer!
