I heard this on the news tonight. It is such sad news. We have lost so many of our childhood icons, Capt. Kangaroo, Mr Rogers, Dr Seuss, and Charles Schultz. It truly makes my heart ache to think that they are all gone.

    Rest in Peace Captain.

I remember when Jim Henson died (of course, I'm the Muppet's fanatic among us) but I literally sat there and cried....much like I did with Mr. Rogers, "Snoopy's Dad," and now again today......

    so, so sad.......

I, too, watched Captain Kangaroo every morning when I was a kid. It's so sad that he's gone.

This is sad news...I watched the Captain everyday...my favorite character was dancing bear, and I loved it when Mr. Moose dropped ping pong balls on the Captain......They don't make good wholesome shows for kids like this anymore....so sad

    We will miss you Captain

It seems like all the nice kid shows people are leaving us. I am not sure I like the new shows as much.
