Question Has anyone ever read The Simple Living Guide or Frugal Luxuries?

I borrowed these from the library on the recommendation of a friend and am just starting to read them.

Have you read them? Are they any good?

I read (and own) The Complete Tightwad Gazette. I already used/practiced a lot of the information in there, so I wasn't as impressed as others that gave it rave reviews. So...I am trying to find more information on frugal living that will be new to me. I'm running out of ideas.

havent tried them but tried as many others as i could( there not that popular in my library)

it is almost near impossible to get the tightwads gazette over here, unless you order it from the net and that would cost me around $100. and i'm not doing that!

I have'nt read them, but I have a friend who has and recommended them to me. I guess that I am going to have to take her up on them!

I have read Frugal Luxuries and also Frugal Luxuries By The Seasons. They were okay - I personally like Frugal Luxuries By The Seasons better (I found more ideas in it).

I've read them both and I thought they were okay. Like Chelle I prefer the Tightwad Gazette.

I finished them both (well, I should say that I finished Frugal Luxuries; I didn't like The Simple Living Guide at all). I wasn't impressed. They were boring and didn't offer me the information I was hoping to find. Everything they said was old news to me. If I had to choose, Frugal Luxuries was better. I'm glad I only borrowed them from the library and didn't buy them!
