The Passion of Christ
Has anyone seen this? I want to go, but can't find it near.

I haven't seen this movie yet, but from what I hear it's a good but conterversail movie. Mel Gibson is the producer, he is an "Old World Catholic". Whis means he attends mass that is said the way it was before "Vatican II". I understand that he has made the movie according to his beliefs.
There has been some reporting that the movie is making the Jewish community upset. I've heard because the movie line shows them as being responsible for Christ's death.
If you do go to see it mrcornbread, please let us know how you thought of it.

I'll be going--- it doesn't open until Feb. 25th, and I won't be seeing it immediately--- but I will be seeing it in a theater. I plan on taking a huge box of tissues with me when I go.

I want to go. I saw one interview from a critic who previewed it prepared to hate it, and being rather upset ahead of time about it being anti semitic, and he said it wasn't offensive, that it was blown out of porportion. He said it was fine. I want to go see for myself before judging it one way or another.
