Thumbs up BOOK REVIEW - The Testament

I just started reading John Grisham and I can't imagine why I haven't read him before.

This book is a wonderful read.

Troy Phelan is a self-made billionaire, one of the richest men in the US. He is also eccentric, reclusive, confined to a wheelchair, and looking for a way to die. His heirs, to no one's surprise - especially Troy's-are circling like vultures.

Nate O'Riley is a high-octaine Washington litigator who's lived too hard, too fast, for too long. His second marriage is in shambles, he is emerging from his fourth stay in rehab armed with little more than his fragile sobriety, good intentions and resilient sense of humor. Returning to the real world is always difficult, but this time it's going to be murder.

Rachel Lane is a young woman who chose to give her life for God, who walked away from the modern world with all its strivings and trappings and encumbrances, and went to live and work with a primitive tribe of Indians in the deepest jungles of Brazil.

In a story that mixes legal suspense with a remarkable adventure, their lives are forever altered by the startling secret of The Testament
This book really shows how greedy some people can be and how simple others want to live their lives. Its a story about how even after many failures, one can get their lives back together and move on. Its a book where if you read the last page, you don't have an inkling of what really is going to happen in the storyline. (I always read the last couple of pages.)

Its also a book that makes you wonder what would have happened had the circumstances ended a bit different. I love those types of books.

It is well written and I would highly recommend it to anyone.

That was an awesome book. I read the entire book in just a couple of sittings, I could not put it down. It definately made me think about the "what ifs" .

Heather, you won't regret reading this one. I just started The Juror and already I'm wanting to not stop reading late into the night.
