Days...what in the world?

Marlena is the serial killer? I know I've missed a lot but c'mon now!

Can anyone fill me in?

LOL! I was trying to think of a way to fill you in without typing until next week and can't! Very briefly, Marlena is indeed the serial killer. She's been having nightmares where she re-enacts the killings and keeps apolgizing to the victims. She is also bound and determined to kill anyone who she thinks is a threat to her exposure. Tek(investigator), Shawn, John and Alice are her biggest threats right now. And Celeste and her soothesaying.
It seemed like Marlena just snapped some how. Which has me thinking that maybe it isn't Marlena we have been dealing with but her evil twin, Samantha who was neatly tucked away in an asylum years ago. Or perhaps the waitress chick Stephano plasticized into Marlena. This is Days after all.
She's convincing John that Stephano's "programming" is behind his accusations that she is the serial killer and she has also guilted Belle into lying to give her an alibi for her whereabouts during Doug's murder.
Bo is taking the investigation on with a vengeance and that is, of course, putting a strain on Hope and "our love" (yack! She's too sappy for me. Suck it up and get a bra, girl!).
I honestly have only watched about half of the show each time because it's like the Marlena possession all over again. They're jumping the shark with this one. It should have ended weeks ago because it's actually gotten boring.

Is this the strangest story line or what??????.....They've killed off half the cast and I read that Shawn and Belle are both leaving to do other things,so what does that leave us with?????....If they would kill poor old Alice, I'd have to stop watching, I couldn't take it.....

Someone told me that they read (ok very 2nd hand here...sorry) on a spoiler board that the Marlena we see is an imposter....but now that is only gossip girls.

I thought that Samantha was dead. She died eons ago. I remember Marlena going to her grave on one of the episodes. (at least I think so anyway. These soaps are so confusing some times.) The imposter would have to be Hattie. Remember when she had all the plastic surgery to look like Marlena and then disappeared. She was the waitress.

I have a friend that is really into Days. Unfortunately I haven't had a chance to talk to her lately about what is going on. She is on all those message boards, and always knows what is gonna happen before it does.

I just looked it up, and Samantha was killed by the Salem Strangler back in 1981.

I agree! I, too, started thinking of the possession storyline when it came out that Marlena was the killer. I'm ready for a new story, enough with the killing already!

I think it's time to tune out for a while and come back in a few weeks to let these obviously overpaid writers to get this out of their system. After Marlena's ever so innocent act and her cutesie wide-eyed woe is me to John, I almost lost my lunch. Maybe we'll get lucky and the demon will eat the writers.
