Which Harry Potter book is your fav and why?
With the anticipation of the 3rd movie coming out in June, I wanted to know which of the Harry Potters books did you like the best and why?
My favourite is the Prisoner of Azkaban...this is the one that is coming out in June!
It was the best because of meeting the new character, the mystery and suspense involved and it was refreshing to meet the new character, lots of action in this one.
I was disappointed with book five actually, but hoping that the next two will make up for it.
I think the story peaked in book 3.
Your thoughts?

I have never read any of the Harry Potter books or seen the films.
My DD age 7 won a Harry Potter book at school as a prize! And I made her throw it away and bought her a replacement book of her choice at my own expense.
I can't believe that anybody would be irresponsible enough to teach children about black magic but that is of course JMO.

I can't choose just one either. I didn't know the third movie was coming out in June. Now I have something to look forward to!
I liked in the fifth book how Harry is liking that girl. I can't remember her name. I can't wait for the next one.

All big Harry Potter fans here as well. My own favorite is The Chamber of Secrets, because Gilderoy Lockhart is one of the funniest characters I've ever read in fiction. The kids got me an action figure of him holding a cage of cornish pixies - it's on top of our piano - too funny!!!

I liked them all but If I had to choose one it would probably be The Goblet Of Fire.
It was long but it was full of adventure. I heard that they are still trying to decided whether or not they should make book 4 into 2 movies instead of one because of its length. I hope they don't do that but I hope they don't cut out a whole lot of it either.
Can't wait for June to get here. DH is ready for it too.

We have not read any of the books and I've just seen a clip of one of the movies while we were at the video store. The video clip alone gave me nightmares (kid was barfing up slugs). My kids and I read the dust jackets of the books and decided these were not for us.
