Default Luther Vandross on Oprah today

Darn, I won't be able to see it. Can someone who watches Oprah fill me in. I am the biggest Luther fan alive. I have hoped and prayed for his recovery. If there is a tv in the classroom I am working in I will watch, if not, I will need filling in!

Sorry I was going to watch but I missed most of it. The parts I did see were a major tear jerker. He wasn't in the studio, but his mom was and Oprah showed clips of when she visited with him when he was starting re-hab. He was still in a wheel chair but the phsyical therapists would stand him up and have him take a few steps and then he would sit back down. Oprah asked if he could do it again and he said yes but not to soon. They showed him reading letters and numbers working on his speech. Then back in the studio Oprah mentioned (while crying) that to keep the music alive for him his backup singer visit once a week and that was the day she was there. They sang "Buy me a Rose" (I love that song) and then she left. At the end Rueban Studdard came on and sang "Don't you Remember You Told Me You Loved Me Baby" to honor Luther.

The rest was Hillary Clinton and her mom in studio and clips of Simon Cowell w/ his mom and Beyonce' and her mom.

I ended up crying while watching the part with his backup singers coming to visit and singing with him. Before they showed him going through rehab it was just a bit of Oprah sitting down and talking with him.
