Smile Do you know what book this is???

Okay, here is a description of a paperback book that I read back in the 80's. I no longer have it because I loaned it to a co-worker back then and she moved away and never gave it back. It was one of the best stories that I have ever read, and I would like to have it again. Yes, I'm too old for this type of book now, but trust me, it was a beautiful story.

    ..............................................................................

    >It was a teen romance....
    >I don't remember the name of the book
    >I don't remember the author, but I think her name was Lois something and I remember that the cover of the book was yellow/gold in color and I think a picture of a sunset and maybe a couple on the front

    >The story took place in England during WWII and it was about a young girl who lived with her father (who was a priest) and mother and they lived in the church.
Before the war broke out, times were calm around the church, and RAF soldiers would occasionally come to church there. One soldier in particular, a fighter pilot came and sat down and started playing the piano one sunday after the service and then kept going back whenever he had free time. It was during those times that he and the girl became friends and eventually fell in love. When the war started he had missions to fly and the girl and her parents helped out with the wounded.

It has been so long that I don't even remember the ending.

I remember that his plane was named the "Jenny Lind"

    >>>>>Any help would be appreciated. I have looked in so many used book stores, on the net, and asked so many people, that I'm starting to feel silly for looking for it!

I sometimes think that the name of it was..."That Special Summer"
    or "That distant Summer"

    Anyways.
    That's it.
