DOOL Fans... What do you think of "New Salem"/ Captive Island?

I can't believe the writers are bringing back everyone killed off by the Salem stalker.... this reminds me so much of that whole Dallas Bobby-was-in-the-shower-it-was-just-a-dream season!

They're clearly setting up all of the grieving spouses to be getting involved with new people by the time their "dead" spouses come back.

This is such a cheesy storyline IMO, worse than Marlena being possessed

years ago. But yet, I still watch.....

I know, I missed last Monday when she first made it to the other Salem. But I saw most of the rest of the week. I missed today (wasn't someone else suppose to show up). I guess I'll have to set the VCR for it on SoapNet tonight and catch up...lol

I am confused though, when are the others going to show up so to speak, meaning Jack and that girl Cassie (?).

How many people did she actually "kill".

I only saw a few minutes today (that happens a lot, LOL) but I don't think anyone new showed up.

She also "killed" Doug and Maggie. I hate this silly storyline. It is so ridiculous. I really hoped that they would wrap it up and we would move on the the Sean D trapped in the cage storyline for a while. I wish we could "kill" off the terrible writers that we have now on DOOL and bring in some real talent again. It is looking more like Passions and less like DOOL every day. All we need is for Tabitha to do a soap crossover and we would be there

DH read somewhere that the writers are aiming for a younger audience for the summer and that's why all the younger men have been going shirtless recently.

I'm sick of the whole Shawn & Jan thing too. I've never liked Jan since she ended up pregnant, confided in Shawn and had Belle not be able to trust him. She is one sick cookie still obsessing that Belle killed hers and Shawns Baby.

As far as the island, I remember when Doug got hurt last week trying to leave. But I thought on the previews the other day for Monday's show, Roman said "It's you" after he told Doc that the noise they heard meant someone else was coming to the island.

Well we found out that one person left and they haven't seen him since. It was Jack. But hey, I know where he went. Do you want me to tell you. He left Salem and went further East to Llanview, PA & the ABC soap OLTL as none other than their serial killer before he was killed himself....lol

I watch OLTL and AMC I am getting mad at the whole when will Bianca find out that Bess is Miaranda story line. it is driving me nuts. I want it over with. I'd like the babies back with their moms. At least Miranda back with Bianca. And have Kelly's "Ace" back with Babe. that whole baby swapping/stealing line really made me upset and really uncomfortable. I don't like the story line at all.

Okey, what is it with soaps. Are they full of subliminal messages or what. As much as I want to stop watching until some of the stupid story lines are over with I can't help it. The only one I haven't really watched that much in awhile is AMC. I doubt I will until Maranda/Bess is back with Bianca & Erica becomes a non blonde again. Although I enjoy seeing Thorston Kaye (Zack I think) I've missed him since PC ended. On OLTL if they charge Natalie with anything pertaining to Paul I'll be made especailly since Todd knows the truth. DOOL it makes me mad but I can't stop watching. And PASSIONA uuugggghhh, Come on, Sheridan & Luis have been trying to get together since this show started give us a break, not that much bad luck can happen to one couple. I am glad though that Alister has a body now and not just a voice on the speaker phone.

I can't stand DOOL anymore...it's just so dumb. I haven't watched for 1-1/2 weeks and I don't plan to turn it on again. I have so many other things I can do with my time....

Passions is another one with a stupid baby-swapped storyline. When will Beth finally have to give up Sheridan's baby? I will watch Passions if I can after DOOL goes off, but the silly witch and the headless Alister both get on my nerves- I can't usually sit still for the whole show!

As for Shawn and Jan's baby many moons ago, I thought the baby wasn't actually Shawn's, that he just stepped up so to speak to help Jan out with her parents. Or maybe I'm remembering wrong?

I have not watched it in eons. I can't stand the new story line. As for Passions, that too is hokey as well. I just don't watch soaps anymore. With the summer coming, I will be at the pool with the kids anyway.

It wasn't, but Jan told Shawn that noone could know (I can't remember who the dad was) and when people started getting suspicious Jan got scared and Shawn told Belle he was the father. I'm pretty sure that everyone knows the truth, but Jan is a nut case now (she probably pushed her parents of the ski lift herself) and wants to believe that Shawn was the daddy.

I'm ashamed to admit I've been watching. It's the one hour I take for myself each day to sit down (usually have lunch while it's on) and relax. I've missed episodes here and there from moving so I'm still trying to get caught up and I missed last Thurs. and Fri.'s episodes. The island plot is just something else to keep my brain confused. LOL

Jan was raped by Paul Mendez (?) when the kids went to the island during the summer (was it Puerto Rico?). Paul was Nicole's father.
