For those who watch TV, what are you favorite kind of shows?
With the cancellation of my two favorite shows(Buffy and Angel) I am kind left with only crime dramas now. 3 CSIs this fall, 3 Law and Orders, Cold Case, Without a Trace and whatever new ones they will have out. The only exceptions are some sci-fi series on cable TV, Dead Zone on USA and the 2 Stargates on the SciFi channel.
So what kind of shows do you watch?
I did watch the last two seasons of Survivor. Rupert!!! Rupert!!! Rupert!!! LOL.

Star Trek, all versions
Star Gate
Sell this House sometimes with dh on weekends
Dr Phil and Oprah sometimes
I hate to admit it, but the Young and the Restless (I started watching with mil and fil when she was sick, and I was nursing her, and now since she died it gives me something to talk about to fil who still watches).
And Passions which is the stupidest, funniest spoof of a soap on TV. I love it.
dh and dd watch Navy CIS and CSI and I'll occaisionally watch an episode but I don't much care for them so that is about once a month or less. Usually go online when they are watching!

We don't have cable, so were limited to 2 tv stations in our small town.
I'm not a tv person. I will watch Oprah if she has a good show and once in awhile I will watch Dr. Phil if he has a good show.
The only other program I will watch is figure skating. Otherwise I don't watch tv, unless its a special like election night.

LOL Darlene, I LOVE Phyllis!!! She is such fun to watch. I also find watching the 2 soaps I watch keeps my nose out of my kids' lives and other people's lives when I'm tempted to get in there and give advice and scrutinize.
It gives me people stuff to think about other than obsessing on whether or not dd has a boy friend or if ds's girlfriend will ever get out of hospital. (my real life concerns) and let my kids run their own lives.

I used to watch GH, but haven't in a very long time now.
I'll occasionally catch Oprah. I watch NYPD Blue every night. We watch the sci fi channel a lot. Gabe and I both enjoy star trek. I like to watch old Seinfeld episodes and was watching the Sopranos for awhile.
I enjoy a lot of different types of shows. I could turn on hgtv and just sit there in front of the tv, so make a point not to. lol
I used to watch y&r daily, but it's been a LONG time.If you'd like to help support Frugal Living by Sara Noel, my syndicated column, e-mail, write, or call the managing editor at your local newspaper and ask them to publish it in print or online. I should probably clarify, Dawn, that's the only tv we watch.

I haven't heard of most of the shows you ladies have listed... well, other than Oprah and the daytime soaps but only because I used to watch them when I was in college.

I hate to admit what I like....
Of course, pretty much anything on the food network, Food 911, Rachael Ray, etc.
I also like reruns of Mad TV, and Viva La Bam on MTV. Any kind of comedy pretty much will do.
