Lightbulb Need help remembering a (old PBS I think) TV show

Okey, I know we are already racking our brains trying to remember Debbies book name, but I alway's think about this TV show and I can't remember the name and I think my hubby thinks I am nuts and I apologize in advance for any of you that I may cause to go nuts remember it is well

It was on PBS when I was in elementary school (early 80's)

I remember a few things (and I think they were all on the same show.)

    Here's what I know:

It was a lot of talking shoes, a male boot, a female red high heel, and other talking shoes

They alway's played "who stole the cookie from the cookie jar" (who me? yes you? couldn't be? then who?...sorry 'bout that...lol)

And the news anchor was Gary Ganu(sp) who alway's said:
    "No Ganews is Good Ganews"

So do you guys think I am nuts now. If so while your fitting Debbie for her jacket, make me one too, because I'm going nuts trying to remember this show.

I remember a talking boot/shoe on "Read Along" on PBS, but not Great Space Coasters.

So I guess it was two shoes after all. I thought it might have been. Thank you so much. I knew someone here would be able to answer my thread and assure me that I didn't imagine a bunch of talking shoes....lol

I couldn't place the name at first but I checked the link, and those are the shoes I remember. I also looked up Great Space Coaster and saw pictures of those guys and Gary Gnu. Now I can rest easy.

    Thanks again.

You're not that old. Sesame Street only hit in '69. Now, if you were to tell me your first boyfriend in high school was Mr. Hooper then I might have to agree with you.

I have been stuck with "Conjunction Junction, what's your function?" From Schoolhouse Rock I believe. And a song something about how a bill becomes law... dang that educational cartoon.

Remember the Electric Company? I used to watch that...
