    Default anyone see "supersize me"?

We rented this and watched it yesterday. We have cut fastfood down considerably, but that show made me want to never eat it again.

The guy in the documentary is on an all Mcdonald's binge for a month. Now we obviously know that isn't a good thing, but it really made me think about even if as a family we're eating it only once a month or twice...how unhealthy it really is.

I hadn't really considered that the fruit/yogurt parfait actually has more calories than a sundae.

I know we've discussed obesity on the forums before, but this show really made me think about it more.

I also recommend reading Fast Food Nation. I just got done reading it last week and it will sure make you think of fast food in a whole new light.

I want to see that movie too, Sara...and Chea, that book, I've heard of it....my younger cousin was reading it---he and his girlfriend don't eat any meat, either....

btw, yesterday, Pierre ate at McDonald's for lunch with the boys on his way back form my parents and in the afternoon he took a nap and at 5h00 pm when he woke up he felt sick---he didn't know if he was hungry or what--he just felt nauseaus....I tell you, this food is bad, I know!....

None of our family eats fast food anymore. My son cut off it in London last year when he said that the big Macs there were dripping in fat! My other son decided to become vegetarian.

My boys saw Supersize Me and said it really made them think about what they ate.

I have not seen it but I really want to. I need all the motivation I can get to stay away from fast food.

did not see it, will not see it. I will eat fast food, kids will eat fast food unless and untill they don't want to. We don't eat it for every meal and have no plans to do so. Everything in moderation if you only eat fruit you will get sick too.

I just saw this movie yesterday. I'm not surprised by the results of eating McD's for a month straight. I think we build up a resistance to it after eating it regulary.

I began gaining a lot of weight in high school when my boyfriend took me out to eat at McD's every school day at lunch time. Never had a weight problem before then.

After we broke up, I stopped eating fast food completely and dropped over 30 lbs in a matter of a few months by making that one change.

    WOW Judy!! Thats amazing!!

I haven't seen the movie yet,but it's on my netflix list When I first seen the ads for this,I wanted to see it.Then I thought, maybe not.Do I REALLY want to see what this guy goes through?! Don't get me wrong,I'm not stupid lol I KNOW fast food is bad for you.I know it's loaded with calories, fat, carbs, and it can be expensive. There's just something about fast food that draws people to it. Sometimes we eat it because we're running late and have to eat quick, sometimes we just don't wanna cook and sometimes we just want it lol

I need to watch it.I'll go and bump it up on my netflix right now
