I liked " A Day In The Life of the Amish" by Reiman publications. It's written by the Amish themselves. I loved it.

Beverly Lewis's book are all written about the Amish. They are fiction but great reads. She also has written a cookbook with Amish recipes.

    Here is her website www.beverlylewis.com

Her new series Abram's Daughters is AWESOME!!

I also love Beverly Lewis books.

Another book that I liked was Plain Truth by Jodi Picoult. Lifetime TV just made a movie of this and as far as I can remember, it was pretty close to the book.

I just remembered another author that I have read too. Carrie Bender wrote several different series about the Amish. I have read Miriam's Journal series. It was okay but not quite as good as Beverly Lewis.
