I watch Vegas and Miami, and I like Miami the best. Haven't seen NY yet. Occasionally they're too graphic for me, but, I just look away at the really gory parts.
We watch NCIS (dh's favorite) every week, too.
And why do all these shows have abbreviations for names?

I'll have to give NCIS another whirl.

I think what happened was I was comparing it to CSI when I watched it.

Yeah~ it's similar, but more focused on the millitary angle. It was a spin-off from JAG, which is DH's other favorite show. I didn't like it too much at first, but now I've gotten into it.Originally posted by smnoel

I tape CSI most every week so that IF it is not sexually inappropriate, I let my daughter watch it. She is 10 and has known since watching some of the first shows, that she will be a Crime Scene Investigator. If it is too graphic-sexually I don't let her watch it.. This last Thursday--NO she will not watch that one, it is already taped over with SG-1 and SG Atlantis for DH...She likes to try to solve the crime, and look for the clues, she loves the devices that are used. She is a very mature 10 year old.

You are wise to screen all the programming for sexual content. Last week with the CSI on wife swapping was a definite no, no although the program did make a point of how this lifestyle destroys lives. My children are older (14 and 12) and I wouldn't want them to see that episode.Originally posted by momof42003

You know, I love reading about forensics--love true crime books, watch all the forensic showes on Court TV, A & E, etc., but CSI is just a show I've never been able to get into

OOh, we also like NCIS. I just think the Mark Harmon character needs to lighten up a bit.

Count me in!! I love CSI Miami and Law and Order SVU. I like the chase and I like it that the "Bad guy" always gets whats coming to him( or her).
Nothing can taste as good as being thin will feel.

I "screen" nearly all of the "after nine" dramas, especially the ones my daughter wants to watch.. I just let her know that last nights show was too mature for her, and usually she is ok with that and then watches Nick on tv... Still such a kid!!!
