Question OMG - Did anyone watch Oprah today?

If you did, how can anyone live like Carol did? To allow clutter to get to the point she did, something else sure had to be going on.

Did you see the dog poop everywhere. Maggots, ants, etc. I can't believe anyone can live like that.

    Anyone see it?

That just sounds to gross to believe......I don't watch anything but FOX - someone let me know what happened & what the outcome is....

Debbie, this lady had been married 6 times, divorced 6 times. She had a beautiful home but inside.......the fridge, OMG. Bugs in her pots that had leftover food in. Rotten meet in her fridge.

Her 3 dogs slept on her bed with her and always did their jobs on the bed. The toilet....and poop everywhere on the floor.

Clothes everywhere. I've never seen anything like it, but over a million people in the States live like she does.

    Her 2 birds pooped everywhere!!!!

Oprah said she needed to get more help than someone coming in to clean her home and she was right.

that sounds like a serious & severe mental issue.....

I truly hope this woman had no babies being forced to live like that & thinking that it's normal.....

    What a shame.....

The lady also has some depression issues. She was well educated, groomed nicely, and well dressed and you would never think by looking at her that she lived in squalor. She had some beautiful furniture underneath all that debris. What got me was how in the world did she live with all that fecal matter everywhere? She could have at least cleaned that up even if she didn't get things picked up.

She made the comment as to why she thinks she started living like this. She said after all the marriages and divorces she started feeling like she was trash, therefore she lived in trash.

I felt bad for her, I just hope she gets some help and keeps the house clean from now on.

Debbie, the woman is in her late 50's, so she has no children living in squalor. I can't imagine living like that and I can't understand why she would allow her story to be told on Oprah. I hope Oprah paid for counseling

Its not like she couldn't afford counselling or someone to come in and clean her place. She had beautiful furniture, was dressed well and wore diamonds. So really she could have had someone come in and clean for her w/o calling Oprah to bring someone in.

I just don't understand how people would want to go on the Oprah show with a home like that.

Exactly! I cringe at the thought of just one visitor coming to my house, when it's slightly clutttered. I can't imagine asking millions of people to see a "home" like that.

I haven't seen the program but from what you've all said I feel sorry for that woman. It sounds like she has serious self-esteem issues and she probably feels like that's all she's worth. That's sad. I hope she does get help but it sounds like she needs long term counselling more than a massive clean up.
