    Thumbs down Sponge bob:the movie

    I took my grandson to see this yesterday and boy was I dissapointed!!!!...I am a big sponge bob fan, but this movie really stinks!!!!!......It wasn't very funny, poorly thought up, and over all pretty stupid(IMHO)....Joseph got very bored, as did alot of the kids around us....I wish I wouldn't have wasted the time and money to see this one...The cartoon on Nick is ten times more funny and creative.....Save your money for something better!!!

    I completely agree. My kids liked it, but I thought it was boring and not nearly as funny as the tv show.

    I've heard that kids love it...it's the parents who don't appreciate it as much. I think the show is funny (most of the time), but the movie just didn't live up to my expectations.

    I love the SpongeBob TV show. I was looking forward to the movie, but willing to wait for the video rental. Sorry to hear that it is not very good.
