no school for our city
We woke up to tons of snow and it's still coming down. School is cancelled. I just can't believe how much snow has fallen here already this winter.

There will alot of happy kids in your town Sara!

You have been playing in snow for a while aready but this is our first big snow "storm" and school is closed here too today.
There is about 3-4"of snow so far and freezing rain predicted til evening. Wish dh didn't have to deal with it all day & then have the long drive home.
Going out to play later?~*Darlene*~

No school either here today (which is a pretty big thing for our town to cancel it)...this is only our 4th snowfall of the season though.

We've got a 1/2 inch of ice and a foot of snow on top. It started Sunday night. The winter weather warnings don't expire until midnight tonight. The kids haven't been to school since they got out for winter break.

It sounds like a great day to play in the snow and then warm up with a nice cup of hot cocoa!

There was no public school here yesterday because of the freezing temps. They won't take a chance because of bus routes.
We've only had 2 snowfalls this year but in those 2, we got 2 feet now.
Sara I heard on the news its suppose to get pretty bad your way. Stay safe and warm okay.
Our weather is now -26.6C but with windchills its -41C. Just a tad bit warmer than yesterday.

I know for a fact that Peggy (Panndy1) has been praying for snow. Y'all could send some her way. LOL
I'm having to put on sunscreen to go out today.

We had a light dusting yesterday but it was on top of ice. It's supposed to warm up and be more "Texas like" weather here today. Stay bundled up Sara, have a nice hot cocoa by the fire.

We had snow start falling at about noon, it is coming down like crazy and we have a winter storm warning in effect. They are calling for 15 to 20 cm (6-8 inches) before midnight. Visibility is very poor so I am a little worried about what it will be like when the kids are on the school bus tonight.
On the plus side maybe cadets will be cancelled and I won't have to drive. If it's not cancelled we will have to go as DS#2 is backup duty corporal.

We are under a snowstorm watch for tomorrow afternoon. 3-6 inches are expected (and I pray they come) followed by another storm or 2 after that. I really want some snow here so we can go snowboarding and sledding. We have this awesome hill in town that is perfect for learning how to snowboard and my hubby is just itcing to get out there (I know, really BIG teenager at heart there!
). All of you with bad weather, please stay safe!
