    I'm sure though it has to be pretty frustrating for librarians.

    OK, librarian weighing in here. It is frustrating when people do not return materials and rack up fines. First of all, that library system should look at lowering their limit on how many items you can have out at 1 time. We have a limit of 25 items out at a time per patron (except for provider cards). Here people are turned over to a collection agency if they do not try to work with the library to pay off their fines. Usually it has to be pretty bad and after multiple notices for people to be turned over.

    Keeping something longer than you were allowed to is wrong and unless you have a good reason not to return them promtly you should be held accountable. Not fair to others who play by the rules not to have access to what you won't return.

    Well I LIVE in Bay City and boy am I glad we don't have any library books out right now
