I didn't know that they were actually charging you 1.25 if you kept it over a week. They need to make sure that is in their advertising because that is deceptive! When they say NO MORE LATE FEES then they shouldn't charge you anything!
I wouldn't sue them over it, but they do need to make it more plain.
A co-worker kept a movie 20 days and was charged the full price of the movie. They billed her CC without her knowing. She is the one who told me about the policy. It is suppose to be after a month, but they charged her the full price anyway. She is going to try to dispute it. I don't know why you would need to keep it for 20 days anyway, but she should had only been charged 1.25 because the 30 days wasn't up.
I just think they need to tell people this upfront and not use a "NO MORE LATE FEE" advertising slogan when that isn't really true.~*Michelle*~

I can tell you from having owned a couple of video stores that if a store doesn't charge late fees, they'll never get their movies back.
As long as there are video stores, there will be some sort of late fees.

I didn't know how they were going to stay in business and not charge late fees either Lisa. I knew there had to be a catch to the "no more late fees" advertsing.

I actually just assumed that they were going to adopt a plan like NetFlix-- keep one movie until you return it, then you can get another. I hadn't checked into it yet, but I thought I read that somewhere. Must've been all in my head....

A girl I worked with just found out that she was charged for the movie as well when she kept it longer than she was suppose to.
