trading spaces?
Anyone watch this show? I love this show. I have seen some great decorating changes and room makeovers, but some have been hideous.
I crack up at how some neighbors willingly make some bad bad changes that they know darn well their neighbor would hate. *LOL* I love seeing the reaction to the makeovers too. Cracks me right up.
Btw, what happened to the other host?

I love this show too. I don't miss it on Saturday nights. I just started watching it last month, so I can't answer about the show host.
Did anyone see the one on a couple of weeks ago where Hildie used Straw on someone's living room walls? Unbelievable.
I really like Doug's and Vern's rooms. They're usually not as drastic as the others. I also saw another guy on there that did a couple of nice rooms (can't remember his name). Genevieve and that guy do some good work too. I can't believe that Hildie is even a designer--to me it seems like they just took someone off the street and said, "go for it" to earn some shock value for the show LOL

Love the show, but I can't imagine telling anyone I know,"yeah sure, redecorate my room" I feel so bad when the woman comes back and cries-that would be me.

Trading Spaces is fun to watch. Sometimes I love what they do and other times I think "What the %$^!! did they do that for?"
Never underestimate the power of frugality!

I really enjoy that show too! Has anyone seen the original, British version? I have BBCAmerica tv channel and the original show, Changing Rooms, is similar but the reactions are much different! You will actually see the people say how awful they think their new room is! Those Brits are not afraid to say what they think! Now when I watch the american version I'm always thinking we are just too polite! Funny!

luv the show, although, I'm not so sure of some of the designers. Did anyone happen to catch the episode where Hilde used wallpaper glue to paste straw to the walls? In answer to your question Sara reqarding the whereabouts of the first host, she just decided not to come back for the new season.

I love this show. The straw thing was ridiculous. Did anyone see the one where the lady starting crying and left. You could still hear her sobbing. I felt sorry for her. I just love to see the reactions of the people when they see their new rooms. Sometimes, I think their rooms look just fine before, maybe just need some decluttering. I like all the art projects Frank does. I wish he could come to my house.

This show makes me so mad. I hate the way those neighbors sit in the room, doing things they know better than to do, and then as soon as the job is done they say "I don't think they are going to like this". Duh! Where are these ppls backbone??
I like the older man who decorates because he is so willing to listen to others and change his plans.
I still wonder how much straw the children have eaten from those walls, not to mention bugs and mold. UGH!

I LOVE the show too.. I love Frank he does very whimsy rooms (the kind my husband hates) but it looks like they have a good time....
Yes the straw room can you imagine?? I would have to hurt my neighbors if they did that to my house, I would be up for almost anything else...

I can't believe I missed the straw episode! Does anyone know when it is going to air again? Did anyone else see the celebrity episode on Saturday with Natalie from the Dixie Chicks? I loved the room that Vern did but I thought the room that Hildie did was awful. Lots of dark brown... blech!

MAN! I missed the straw episode too! My older DD's love this show. The week I was in the hospital with DD#3 (c-section), I had this on. All the nurses were coming in to watch! Ya gotta love Hildie with her high heels, Genevieve with her bare feet, and that Amy Wynn is really cool! Is she still on there?
I don't understand why they paint fabric furniture with brushes. Who would do that? Did you see the one where the furniture was outside and it rained-Hildie had to go buy new furniture. This is a cool show!

Trading Spaces
Does anyone here watch Trading Spaces on TLC? I am completely addicted and would love to get to know some of my neighbors so I could persuade them to go on the show with me!
