    Default huge surfboard sets record

    The Quicksilver Pro International Surfing Classic is on at the moment on the Gold Coast near here.   As part of the celebrations, one of the board makers made a giant surfboard.  I saw it on the news last night but realy wished I gone to the beach now and watched.  It was the most amazing thing to see. A jet ski towed it over the waves towards the beach but there were 47 people riding the surfboard!!  They all looked like dolls riding a huge board. The board weighs nearly half a ton and is 40 feet long.  The record attempt raised money for the Tsunami victims.
