Well a few things have changed from the books but overall not bad. I do wish though they would have picked another actress for Caroline. I think Mr. Edwards is perfect.
What do you think?

I enjoyed it as well. I loved Edwards character and Laura was a good pick as well.
Joe loves the TV series and is at work so I taped it for him and I will tape the next 4 weeks as well.

I watched it. i was a huge fan when I was little. I wish they would have got a different "Mary"she seems too young. Wasnt there a bigger age difference? I like Laura and Charles and Caroline too. Is it me or does Caroline look JUST like Rebbeca Romaine Stamos????

I thought it was really good. When you read the books, there is as much in it that she doesn't say, though. I think that it was a lot harder for Caroline, and she puts a far more positive spin on a lot of things in my opinion. As I read them as an adult, I see far more how selfish it was sometimes, Charles dragging them from pillar to post, and of course at that time Caroline didn't have a say. I feel sorry for women at that time.

I missed it, dang it! However, when I saw a photo advertising it, something bothered me. Was Jack (the dog) and Australian shepherd? The breed hadn't been "invented" yet and Jack was a bulldog (in old time parlance--actually a Pit bull). Laura was a RABID Pit bull fan--she owned them her entire life.

Yes, the dog in the movie was an Aussie (a blue merle). They actually used two different dogs (at least I think they did!). One time I noticed that the left eye was blue and the right eye was brown and then I thought in another scene it was just the opposite.
