American Idol's criminal record
I do not agree with this at all!! I think he should be kicked off the show with no questions asked!!

I thought the whole idea of the show was to be an "Idol" to the public. I don't think I would want him to be an idol to my children, not if he acts like that. He should go!

I just can't figure out why they are keeping him. They have let others go that have a record -- why not him. I'm also surpised I haven't seen this more on tv. I only know of this because my mom told me.

I haven't seen it on tv either. Usually they publicize everything. Wonder why they haven't??

DH mentioned this to me today, but I hadn't seen the article or anything on the news.
I can't sit and watch this guy....as he looks eerily like my oldest son's father, who coincidentally was very abusive both to me and my sons
He looks so much like him that it's scary. Even DH says that it bothers him to watch him too.

I have to be the odd ball

Even though I dont like him, he DID tell the producers of his past. And although I think it's mean as to what he did .....
"he called Martin “several vulgar names,” “pulled an engagement ring off her finger” and “stated he was also going to take their son.”
It's not like he beat the crap out of her....JMHO...dont throw rocks at me

Yep, that's the thing. Apparently he was straight with the producers from the get-go, unlike the other contestents that were booted, who didn't say a word.
I think he sings really well, but when he comes on I have to go in the kitchen where I can't see him.

I don't know. I wouldn't want my children looking up to someone who has been in trouble for domestic abuse no matter what. Hopefully we have taught them and will continue to teach them that at home though.

Tammy we won't throw rocks at you!!

Here is the rest of the story:
When Martin threatened to call police, Savol shoved her, pulled the phone from her hand and then threw it at her, striking her in the chest and causing the phone to break, the police report said.
Savol pleaded to a reduced misdemeanor disorderly conduct charge, was fined $500, ordered to complete an anger management or domestic violence program, placed on a year’s probation and sentenced to a suspended 20-day jail term, according to the Web site.

I don't think he should be the next American Idol.

I don't think there is much danger of him actually becoming the next American Idol.
He sings well....but there are others that are much better. Vonzell and Anwar are amazing. I think Anwar can take it *IF* he works on his lower range, or is smart enough to choose songs that avoid the keys/registers that he is weak in.
I think Nikko is just "okay". I mean, he sounds pretty good but I wouldn't call it spectacular. I think he is riding Daddy's fame instead of being his own person.
Not sure why that blonde kid is still there, to me he just screams "cheap Clay knockoff" LOL
I like Nadia, but let's be honest--out of the girls, Vonzell is the one to beat.
JMHO only! LOL

But I really dont think he'll win anyway.I'm actually surprised he's gotten this far. Maybe if a lot of his "fans" sees the article,he'll be gone tonight
I like Carrie Underwood of the girls and of course the Alabama boy Bo Bice
I also like Nadia, Anwar and Constatine
