AMERICAN IDOL...any thoughts or opinions of tonight's show?

Yes, we are seriously addicted to this show...we have been watching for 3 seasons now! DH had a meeting tonight and he missed it, he is going to be mad when he hears how good it was.

Any thoughts/opinions on tonight's show? Who was your favorite? Who do you think is the one to win?

I usually agree with Simon as far as the judges go. I have a musical background and I am very critical. I picked Clay to win in the 2nd season...it didn't happen, but he did better than Ruben post-show. I picked Fantasia to win in season 3 after the first time I heard her sing. But for the life of me, I am having such a hard time with this show! I am leaning toward Anwar as far as pure vocal talent...but some of the others are *really* good.

Who did you like tonight? My picks as tonight's best performances are:

Constantine--he picked an incredibly difficult song and pulled it off.
Anwar--his voice is beautiful and his smile....WOW

Scott...I know he has been surrounded with controversy, and I personally don't think he has much personality BUT he was awesomely good tonight.
Vonzell--her song choice was perfect for her!

Bo, I love..and the song was good but I thought he was just "okay" tonight.
Nadia is beautiful and I thought she sang well, but her choice of song was NOT good.
Carrie botched her song so badly that she will probably be in the bottom 3.
Anthony I just don't like at all. I don't think he is that great really.

Opinions?

Ok, this is an opinion from an Australian, but I do watch the show sometimes.

I like Constantine and I think he's got a very good voice which is just being unleashed now.
I like Vonzell too. I think she has style as well as a huge voice and she chooses great songs.
There are only two I don't like - Bo and Anwar, all the rest are okay but not outstanding, IMO. But what do I know. I have no idea who'll win.

I have to agree that Constantine was fantastic. He was very, VERY brave to take on a Queen song.

We LOVE Bo!

My opinions.......

Anthony is good, I just don't think he's picking songs that showcase his voice very well.

Scott is awful and I don't know how he made it into the top 12 to begin with. He should have been voted off long before now.

Carrie is good, but was terrible last night.

Vonzell is getting better every week.

Nadia is good, but her facial expressions make it difficult for me to watch her and she's gotten rather boring.

Anwar is also good, but everything he sings sounds the same to me. He has gotten boring as well.

Constantine is getting better as the weeks go by - maybe it's his song selections, maybe it's the themes, maybe a combo of both. He plays to the camera too much though (although I know his background is bringing that into play) and that makes him difficult to watch.

Bo is just fabulous. We have liked him from the start. His voice and style appeals to us. He seems very down to earth as well which makes him very likable.

CANNOT stand Clay Jr...Anthony has to go!

Scott was really good last night except the low notes/..lol

Bo..good but he just isnt my style at all

Constantine has gotten better over the last 2 weeks BUT...ENOUGH OF THE GOO GOO EYES!!! I cannot watch him..lol

Anwar is my favorite Male..such a talent and god is he pretty to look at..lol

Carrie was terrible last night

Love Vonzelle..think she should be in the top 4 easily

I never have been a fan of Nadia. She is just to ...i dont know....she always looks like she wants to kick your ass..lol.

I think the bottom 3 tonight should be

Anthony, Nadia And carrie

My opinions:

I thought Constantine was great last nite. I really like him.

Bo, I love his voice but his choice in music disappoints me quite often.

Nadia drives me nuts with her facial and body expressions. I'm almost feeling like I'm watching a stripper instead of a singer.

I really like Carrie but she made a mess out of her song last nite.

I like Scott's voice but not his attitude.

Anwar....he's "so-so"

Vonzelle gets better each week. I like her.

I like Anthony but I'm not sure he has what it takes to make it.

Constatine was awesome.
I really liked CArrie- she can sing anything.
We are big Bo fans.

Scott- i can't listen to him sing, it hurts, seriously.

the others I think are good but not incredible.

I like Bo best of all. Then, it's Constantine, Vonzell and Carrie. I really dislike Scott's style of singing.

Okay, this might cause a ruckus, but....what is the deal with Carrie? She was absolutely HORRIBLE Tuesday night. Why was she not in the bottom 3? I think she is a very nice girl....I think she is a good singer for the right type of song....but I don't think she is very adaptable. Country and country-rock yes, but other types of songs....well she makes them sound country too, which makes them all sound the same. JMHO of course
