links to your town
I thought it would be fun to post a link from our home towns. Something from your town, or close to it, that shows the rest of us where our fellow villagers come from.
I live in the semi-rural town of Landsborough. It's in the state of Queensland, about half way up the east coast of Australia. I'm one hour's drive north of our state capital, Brisbane, and 1000km north of Sydney.
http://www.landsboroughtown.com.au/ the tourist attractions link is probably the most interesting.

Here's one link to our town, Huntersville - which is a suburb of Charlotte. This gives some basic history etc. There is another link, I'll post it when I find it.

We don't have a chamber of commerce or anything that would attract tourists, so we don't have any actual city links. Here's what you find when you do a web search of the largest town in our school district.
http://www.city-data.com/city/Palmyra-Illinois.html
http://www.publicschoolreview.com/sc...chool_id/26180 I know for a fact that this data is outdated or false. We have several African-Americans in the school, as well as some Hispanics, and Native Americans. I'm not sure where they got the 100% White.
And this is the only link I could find for the town closest to me:

This is just because I wanted you all to see the gorgeous library- I live very near it. IT was just all refinished inside after the addition (in back, not too visible in pic) was added. It is decorated in period furnishings, and it looks brilliant. Plus, I
our librarian- she will sit at the toys and play with Maggie for an hour if she can. She's awesome!

Great idea Rhonda.
I live outside of Carthage, MO --- not where I grew up, but I've been here for 22 years. This is in the southwestern part of Missouri.
