Amazing storm clouds
As I type this, we are having a nice thunderstorm. I'm going to try to attach a couple of photos that were taken at our Corporate jet hangar about 12 miles west of us. We have been watching these clouds pretty closely for any sign of rotation or potential tornadoes, but all seems to be calm.
Through the wonders of electronics -- email and digital photos, these are about 45 minutes old as I post them, give or take a few minutes.~~Jean~~

As scary as these clouds looked, apparently they are a type of mammatus cloud which form in a weakening storm -- this according to our local weather stations and from what I've read on the internet. And this fits what we know about this particular storm -- one county west there had been a severe storm warning about an hour earlier, and as it moved into our area there was never a storm warning issued.
I never knew mammatus clouds would get peaks on them, but apparently so.
There were tons of cloud pictures from this storm that traveled around the area in emails yesterday.
Just a little weather trivia!~~Jean~~
