NCIS season finale

Anyone else watch NCIS?

*Spoiler ahead if you haven't watched the finale yet!*

I was surprised at who they killed off. The commercials kept saying that someone wouldn't survive, and DH and I were trying to guess who... then it was the last two minutes of the show, so I figured it was just a teaser and everyone would be fine. I had no idea Kate was leaving the show. I've always liked the friction between her and Denozo. I wonder who will replace her?

I let out a gasp when it happened. I so wanted Denozo & Kate to get together. For all their kidding & teasing & the way they drove the other up the wall they really had a strong sexual attraction to one another. That won't happen now.

I was in the ER with DD... What happened, who died, what happened to Kate?? Did she die? WHAWHAWHAWAH...... I want to know.... Please fill me in??? Please.....

OK-- I'll tell you what I remember!

It was a regular episode, more or less, until the very end. Denozo was back to work after the plague scare... somebody was trying to kill Gibbs and blew up the car the whole team had been in... they were working on the case... then that guy Ari shows up. It turns out he is a bad guy after all- he's in on the Al Quaida (sp?) side. Gibbs was under protection because they all think Ari is coming to kill Gibbs. Kate was in charge of his protection and she ended up shot and laying on the ground... only to discover that she was fine after all, because she was shot in her bullet proof vest, and it only knocked her down. So they're all standing there talking and being all happy that Kate's OK.... and then BAM! She was shot by a sniper (presumably Ari) right in the middle of the forehead. The show ended with her falling down and laying there in a pool of blood, eyes wide open and staring into space. You have to assume she's really dead from the way she was shot-- I don't know how they could bring her back and it be at all believable.

That's what I remember-- someone else might be able to fill in more details.

Good synopsis Amy.

Still can't believe the shock of seeing her get shot in the head, really took my breath away. Was not expecting that at all. Ok then boom, she's not. They did pan back & it was Ari who shot her. Very well done scene.
