Fridays Fire.

Friday they were doing a "controlled burn". They're having to do lots of them because of all the rain we had this spring and now there are lots of dead weeds.

So a water truck was making it's way to the burn site and he hit a car and the car exploded into flames killing the man in the car instantly. The driver of the water truck was airlifted to Vegas for his injuries and I havnen't heard how he is doing.

The collision and explosion caused another fire and 7 homes were burned down before they could put it out.

If they post anything about it in the news next Wednesday I will post the link.

How very sad for all. We're having so many fires here, it's unbelievable. I've been trying to weed eat the grass and weeds to the ground around my house so I'm not a victim too.

Wow, that's so sad. DH was in the vol. fire department for a long time. Those water trucks take a long time to get going and are so heavy that they are hard to stop. Not much stands a chance against a water truck or a cement mixer.
