Excellent article! I love this part:
Most of us are frankly weary of striving and display. Instead of lavish dinner parties, we're discovering the old-fashioned pleasures of afternoon "visiting." The first rule is that nobody has to fix a meal. The second is that nobody has to dress up. It's wine or tea and the most important ingredient: time for good conversation.
