    Default Harry Potter 6, anyone?

I know some of you aren't into Harry Potter and think it is bad, and I respect that, so I'm not looking for debate or anything.

Those of you that like HP, are any of you getting the new book on Saturday? I have one being delivered- it is a very belated birthday gift from my husband (my birthday was 6 months ago, and this is my only present.) It is a bit of a luxury, and one of the few books I will buy all year. (Maybe the only.) But I did get it for $10 off the Amazon price with a survey gc.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to it. Anyone else? Only a few more days. Can't wait for a good read.

I will be getting the 6th one too. I enjoy reading them. Four of my adult children are reading them too. I cant wait. It will take me a day to read it. I can read a book in a day. Even doing other things. Fern

You mean you do other things? I just sit down and read the book and don't do anything else. LOL Good thing there has only been one new book since DD was born, and she was little little little then.

I'm the third person on the reserve list at the library so if I haven't been able to buy it then I'll at least be able to read it while I wait to buy it

We will be getting this at midnight when it comes out, probably at Target which seems to have a good price. We're both contributing precious hoarded birthday money to the cost!

When the last one came out I just read straight for two days. Not sure if that's going to be possible with 2 little ones but I can guarantee not much else is going to get done around here. Who is the Half-Blood Prince??!!!!!

Hey, Darlene, I know DH will want to read it, but if you are still on the waiting list when he finally finishes, you are welcome to borrow my copy....

I thought about going to WM on Friday night, but it was cheaper for me to get it through Amazon because of that GC I had. Now I almost wish I was buying it at WM because I just realized I have to work in the lab Saturday (by myself, boring) and I am on call all weekend, so I am somewhat limited in what I can do, and having the book before I go in would sure be nice. I will have to tell DH not to open my book!!!

I indeed preordered mine at Borders like 3 months ago, LOL. I love to read young adult books, mostly fantasy and sci fi. They are so much lighter than adult fiction, and I prefer the total fantasy of it.

I have been also reading books by Dianna Wynne Jones because Disney/Hayao Miyazaki just put out a movie based on one of hers. Movie didn't follow the book well, but I still enjoyed it. I read a lot!

I usually don't spend $17.99 on ANYTHING, but I just really wanted the book, and I have been getting big bonuses at work, so I can allow myself to splurge a bit =)

I ordered mine through Amazon the day they announced the release date. Unfortunately, they do not do Saturday deliveries where I live, so we have to wait until Monday to get it. My whole family is waiting anxiously, since I read it aloud to them in the evenings, so that way there is no arguing over who reads it first!
Emerald Mommy, the question of who the Half-blood Prince is has been a hot topic at the dinner table for a few nights--we're pulling for Hagrid, he's half human, half giant, so who knows?
