30 days - off the grid
Did anyone see last week's 30 days titled 'Off the Grid'?
The 30 days program is all about living in someone else's shoes for 30 days. It's done by the guy who made Supersize Me. The first one he and his fiancee went to live in Ohio on Minimum wage for 30 days.
The latest one had two urban suburbanites going to live off the grid in a farm that does everything by solar power and natural farming. It was fascinating and helped me realize what I can do to conserve.
I don't think I would go as far as these guys do, but I can definitely do more.

Its on FX
Yes I saw it and the woman from the city was totally annoying, but changed the most I thought.
The guy from the city started out ok, but by the end I was sick of his meat tirades.
I love this show!!
His blog is here...watchout for language though

Glad to hear it's coming out on dvd - I really liked 5 out of 6 of the shows. My favorite was the minimum wage one but I also really liked the Muslim one and off the grid. I really didn't like the one where the mother was drinking. I don't think the daughter got the point and it seemed to really upset her little boy.

I only got to watch part of the "off the Grid one" and thought it was very eye opening. I think the guests were rude and were bent on changing things. I think they knew what they were getting into when they did it and they should have had a better attitude. I wish I could have seen how they did things better.
