Growing up Gotti?

Has anyone seen this show? I happened across it while DH took the girls to the pool yesterday. He said he had seen it and it was awful. I watched it for a bit and just got sick at the excess and insolent attitude of the kids. My girls might be a bit spoiled, but gee whiz! And the caretaker Luigi is just down right creepy in mybook!

I've only watched a few minutes of the show here and there and all I can say is that I don't get it. Where's the interest in watching a bunch of spoiled rich boys that act like a bunch of....spoiled rich boys. You know what I mean *eye roll

I just read that Ms. Gotti has cancer.

Yes well, I also just read on CNN that her brother Little Joey is facing charges for trying to beat up/kill a dj in New York. Or rather, he allegedly ordered a hit on the man....

I saw the show a couple times when we once upon a time had cable, but all I could think was, these people have all of this money because they intimidated, beat up and murdered working class folk!!

And then they get a reality show....sheesh, I don't get it.

I've never seen an episode of this show. Is it just about Victoria Gotti or does it include her brothers or other relatives? Has she ever been indicted for criminal activity? Just wondering.

It's mostly about her and her three sons, but other family members make appearences on occaision. And she talks about her father and the family frequently.

And no, I don't think that she's ever been indicted for criminal activity.

Thanks, dndylfe. I agree with you, I don't think the Gotti family should be rewarded for their crimes, by having a tv show. No one would know who she is, had it not been for her infamous father.

I've watched one or two episodes. I did see the one where the lady sent her a letter and called her,or V.Gotti called her and later went to visit the lady,I thought that was nice of her,but then again it was for tv,and might have been planned,or all just for show.

I didnt know she had cancer....thats sad,no matter who they are.

Just came out in the newspapers the past few days... She had pre cancer cells and had things taken care of. She made it sound as if she's got cancer. Big differance.

i watched a few episodes last week. and the last one was showing the preview about the cancer. guess it was a publicity thing for ratings. (hopefully it doesn't really come back)
i agree about the being a criminal thing. i had never heard of her before this show. and it seems to be about rich people spending money and the things they do to entertain themselves. the dates victoria went on reminded me of the anna nicole show (which was very strange) but the thing that bothers me the most is about luigi....he and victoria fight all the time and he is supposed to only be the handyman, but he is always there and i saw in the previews where she took him to italy with them... her traveling handyman????
