It will be interesting to see if this is "long term", or just until everyone gets so use to gas prices close to where they are that they get right back into the "spending mode", especially with Christmas looming.
One thing I do know. If your planning on purchasing any plywood, gyproc or building supplies, you had better do it quickly. There is definitely going to be a high demand in a few months when the building restarts.
I'm also wondering where the US is going to get all the $$ they need to rebuild. The amount is staggering!!
