How did you first feel when you heard the news the FIRST TIME?

Hi,

I am on the opposite time schedule of being online when most others are asleep.

My other half works from 6pm to 2:30am, so we go to sleep when everyone else is waking up. [img]/phpbb/images/smiles/icon_lol.gif[/img]

Yes, we awoke to the radio coming on with the news of the plane crashes. At first I didn't know what exactly had happened until the news got further into the report.

THEN, it hit me.... I usually go on my vacation for 2 weeks, this year I just went for 1 week. Well, had *I* stayed for the 2nd week, I would have been flying home either Tuesday or Wednesday. Only God knows where I might have been at the time of those planes going down and then the order for the planes to get out of the air and land at the nearest airport. 10:30am, would have put me IN THE AIR and halfway home. I would have landed who knows exactly where. I can only THANK GOD that I chose to take a 1 week trip this year and pray for those who were flying and didn't make their destinations.

Well Kay I am glad you only took a 1 week trip this year too!!! Glad everyone is safe and sound in their homes with their families.
I must say it was a shock to say the least when I heard about it.My mom called me and told me to turn on the news we are being attacked.I quickly turned it on and watched for as long as I possibly could before having to head off to school.I took my DS' which were late due to my watching the news.I am grateful we are all here in Ca. safe but feel the deepest sympathy for those in NY and Washington.Our nation has been forever affected by some horrible horrible humans.God bless everyone!!!
