Default Did anyone see Dr. Phil today?

I don't generally watch him as our tv stays on Dora the Explorer. But today it was called Wifestyles. The first couple I saw was a man who wanted his wife to do her house work dressed like a French maid! Yeah right! With 3 kids! Needless to say he got no sympathy.

The second woman was a SAHM who believes that taking care of the kids and her home and husband are her job just as a woman who WOH. She was sensible to me, but I felt like Dr. Phil was looking for a reason to slam her - being a doormat to her man and all that. But when he couldn't really argue with her, he just let it go.

Being a SAHM I was kind of disappointed that Dr. Phil didn't take the time to validate what she does as valuable.

    Me to!!

I know a lot of people who think women should work "these days". If I run into an old friend and they ask what I've been up to and ask if I work and say no.. they're like "you DON'T".
I politely say "Well I dont work outside the home but I WORK!"

Some people just have this impression of women that are SAHM's are lazy and watch soaps allday! I dont watch any soaps and I am not lazy!

I've worked outside of the home before when we just had Ashley and even with one child it was hard to work and come home to housework. It was like 2 full time jobs. I admire any woman that works a 40+ hour job and then has housework and kids to tend to. I know its rough. But I hate that some people think just because a woman is a SAHM thats she lazy and doesnt do anything allday.

    I didn't see it either.

I have been a SAHM and a working mom (outside the home). I think both are pretty hard. I don't think SAHM sit at home and just watch soaps all day. I think people who think that need to walk in their shoes for a few weeks.

I give credit to all mom's!!
