Default Do you keep a journal

I did when I was younger, but threw them out years ago. I have one from the yr (1988 ) I met Steve. I love going back through it and reading what we did (I wrote down EVERYTHING glad my mom never found it ) or where we went, ate etc...

I'd like to keep one now.Write down things about the kids and things we do,things they say etc. so when I'm long gone they can read it and remember good times we had as a famil,or funny things they said..If something happened to me while they are still young,at least they would have my words to look at.

I've seen some on ebay I would love to read. Not so much as being nosey, but ones from the 1800's or 1900's to see what people did then.Where they went, what they did for fun.....

Do you keep a journal? How long have you?

I don't at this time. I did keep one during the teenage angst years. Ugh! Those are awful. I burned all but one.

I also kept one from the time right before my 2nd was born (my first was not quite 2yrs old), for about a year. I just noted what we did that day, or some cute thing they said or did. I hope they enjoy that when they are older. I even enjoy reading it once in a while. They were only 22 months apart and that first year is pretty blurred in my memory.

Currently, there are times I need to verbally vomit, but I don't feel like a pen & paper journal is private enough. If it's really bad, I will 'write' in a Word document that's password protected. But that only happens a couple of times a year.

There are times when I'd like to record things, but at other times, I feel like I'd rather just experience them.

I never knew there were old journals on eBay. I'll bet they are interesting.
