Oprah is great today, Reggie her makeup man gives lessons
and Nate Berkus is on.
Gotta get back up and see what else they are doing.
Reggie is such a cutie, just like a favourite teddy bear, makes me want to hug him. Ditto Nate.
2 nice guys, one on makeup, and the other on decor.
A "feel good" episode.
(unlike the heart attack one which I went and opened the halloween candy bar box and ate my way thru about 15 to help deal with the stress of my impending doom!)

I like em both, can't decide-- 2 cuties. Nate has a new book he wrote on decorating the spaces you love, and that bathroom makeover he just showed on the epi was WONDERFUL!
Plus Oprah introduced her hairdresser and he and his partner always wanted to get into interior decorating, so she had them do up her guest house.
Well, I'd say he could quit his day job heheheh.
They did a fine job. Nate's was much more realistic for ordinary people though.

I never saw him on her show until the Tsunnami episode where Fernando Nate's friend & photograher for O died in Thailand during the Tsunnami. It was sad
Nate looks cute on the cover of his new book HOME RULES

Nate Berkus Home Rules:Transform the Place You Live Into a Place You'll Love
Nate Berkus, regular contributor on The Oprah Winfrey Show, contributing editor of O, The Oprah Magazine, and nationally renowned decorator, has created a book inspired by his belief that everyone should love the way they live.
Nate Berkus, regular contributor on The Oprah Winfrey Show, contributing editor of O, The Oprah Magazine, and nationally renowned decorator, has created a book inspired by his belief that everyone should love the way they live. This step-by-step guide to achieving your own beautiful rooms is based on Nate's signature style and innovative approach to design. As a small boy, Nate could often be found rearranging his room (as well as helping his mother and the other neighborhood mothers rearrange theirs). Throughout the years his passion continued to grow, and soon Nate was heading his own award-winning firm with an elite roster of clients. But it was Oprah Winfrey who gave Nate the chance of a lifetime -- the opportunity to go into millions of homes around the world and join her mission to help people live their best lives. "It has been a dream come true that has absolutely changed my life," explains Berkus. "Not only has working with Oprah helped me redefine my own vision and purpose -- but she continues to challenge me to use my own life to help others live better. And there is nothing that makes me happier or more grateful than to be a part of that." As Oprah always says, "your home should be a reflection of who you truly are." Nate says, no matter how much money you have, he believes that is so very true. "I am honored to share my love of design to help everyone make that dream real for themselves with this book."

NATE'S BIO
Nate Berkus began his career in design at a young age. "I was barely in grade school when I helped my mother rearrange the living room furniture for the first time." With his allowance dedicated to buying things for his bedroom and his mother’s influence (she’s also a decorator), Nate began a life-long passion for design. "I think I was the only kid on the block who knew about furniture scale by the time I was 8."
After graduating from Lake Forest College, he took a job with Leslie Hindman Auctioneers. It was from this position, as well as an internship with Dominique Aurientis in Paris, France, that he really developed a love and knowledge for the decorative arts and furniture. From his auction house experience came a deeper understanding of how to shop and what to buy.
Self-taught, Nate then went on to form Nate Berkus Associates in 1995 at the age of 24. Moving from the auction house to interiors was a natural evolution for him.
The firm grew to include projects for Wolfgang Puck’s Spago, Barney’s New York, W hotels, as well as a prestigious list of private homes and clients.
In 2001, Nate was invited to make over a small space for "The Oprah Winfrey Show." From there, Nate became a featured design expert for the show and continued on to become a regular contributor to O at Home magazine.
"It’s funny, as a kid, I think I rearranged the rooms of almost every house on the block," laughs Nate. "I feel like I’m still doing the same thing. Except, now I’m coming into your living room through the TV, the pages of Home Rules and my collection at Linens 'N Things."
