    Default Grit Magazine anyone?

I was browsing in the homesteading section and came across a subscription advertisement for Grit magazine. I had totally forgotten about that mag. Actually it seems like it was more like a newspaper type publication, but it's been so many years ago, I may be wrong on that. lol I just remember my Mom used to get it from somewhere and I devoured every one of them.

Anyone get this magazine ? Just wondering if it's as good as I remember? *Smile*

Oh wow! I didn't even know it was still in existance. My brother used to deliver that . . . and I had to deliver it for him, if he was sick or something .

I haven't read it in years, but I do have fond memories of 'Grit'. I read it cover to cover, when I was a young teenager. I remember teenage boys selling it on the street in town. They carried them in cloth bags with 'Grit' written on the side. I think they cost .15 or so. I'm showing my age, lol.

I didn't know it was still around either Sunshine!

Dixie, I think I'm showing my age too.

Y'all's post reminded me of how my Mom used to get it. She used to work at a store where you could order stuff from the Sears Roebuck catalog . No store, just a place to order. lol I think she used to buy it from someone delivering them .
